Ron Lynch Is In Town, Go See Him This Weekend!

Comedy fans and personal air conditioners! A true comedy wizard is in town this weekend. Ron Lynch, who in addition to being a great and magical stand-up/sketch comedian (and Bridgetown Comedy Festival darling) has also been a part of Home Movies, The Sarah Silverman Program, and Andy Richter Controls the Universe, is gracing Portland with his presence for the next few days. It is in your best interests to see him as much as possible.

On Friday, June 22nd, Lynch will be appearing in the third annual Laughter is the Best Medicine comedy fundraiser benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. The show is at 7:00pm at the Alberta Rose Theatre (3000 N. Alberta St.) and also features Frank Conniff (aka TV’s Frank from Mystery Science Theater 3000), J. Elvis Weinstein (MST3k, Freaks & Geeks), and Dave (Gruber) Allen (Freaks & Geeks, etc.). Tickets are $10 general admission, $20 reserved seating, or $30 VIP (i.e. goodie bags!), and you can buy them through albertarosetheatre.com.

Then on Saturday, catch an entire show full of Ron Lynch-y goodness (as well as some more Frank Coniff) in his show “Comedy and Stuff” at the Eagles Lodge, 4904 SE Hawthorne. Let me repeat that in case you haven’t realized how awesome this is: we are talking a WHOLE SHOW of RON LYNCH at the EAGLES LODGE. It’s like a tiny slice of Bridgetown to get you through the summer. The show is all ages and tickets are $10 through Brown Paper Tickets. And keep your eyes peeled for an eccentric magician with a very sincere mustache roaming the streets of Portland in the next few days.
