Curious Comedy’s First Annual Fall Funnyraiser this Sat. 11/19!

Comedy cats and komedy kittens! If you haven’t checked out Curious Comedy’s new musical improv show “Rhapsody!”, this weekend would be a great time to do it. Curious is holding its first annual fundraiser on Saturday night.

For just $35 (which is apparently tax-deductable) you get a ticket to the performance and a three-course dinner and a drink ticket. Whoa people, did you hear that? Three courses PLUS a drink? Nobody could call you a cheap date. If you have $15 extra to shell out, you can get a VIP ticket which also gets you reserved seating and admittance to a cocktail hour at 6:30 with members of the cast and a steamed guest (my hope would be asparagus). Slide over to the Curious website for more details, including the evening’s menu, and to buy tickets.

If you can’t afford this level of luxury, do consider going to see the show on some other night. I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about the show and its cast. Comedy, people! Comedy!

WeirDass, Rad Two-Person Improv, at Curious Comedy 6/17 & 6/18

Great news if you are a fan of excellent pairs improv: “WeirDass,” featuring Stephnie Weir (“Mad TV”) and Bob Dassie (Second City), is coming to Portland for a two-night run at Curious Comedy Theater, June 17-18 at 8 p.m. Weird and Dassie are a married couple who apparently produce great hilarity together.

In the press release Stacey Hallal sez: “It is the best improvised show I’ve ever seen.” So that is some pretty high praise indeed. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Or volunteer consistently and never pay for a show again!

Dan Telfer at Curious Comedy on Friday the 13th of May!

Gentlefolk! Come down and see the hilarious Chicagoan Dan Telfer this Friday at the lovely Curious Comedy Theatre. Dan is a supremely innovative stand-up and ingenious improviser who frequently opens for Patton Oswalt. If that weren’t enough, he’s also the upcoming host for the Onion AV Club’s “Pop Pilgrims” web series.

The show starts at 10 and only costs $5.

Yes, only five dollars.

That is well worth the hilarity you will take in!

For proof of the funny, look at Dan’s website or other parts of the internet like this one:
