Action Comics is a super-powered comedy showcase full of hilarious villains, unlikely heroes, and whole lot of puns. Portland’s newest monthly stand-up showcase kicks off March 30 at 9pm at Action/Adventure Theater (1050 SE Clinton St). The show will feature the most creative and innovative performers in the local stand-up scene.
The first show this Friday will feature Kristine Levine (seen again being hilarious in the most recent season of Portlandia and hot off her performances at SXSW), Christian Ricketts (who recently advanced in Rooftop Comedy’s National College Comedy Comptition), Jen Allen, Mandie Allietta, and Danny Felts.
Donations of $5 or more requested at the door. Proceeds will support Comedy in Action, a new community project that aims to provide a space for developing comedians to share resources and ideas with each other. Currently housed in the Action/Adventure Theater, Comedy In Action opens its doors to members in early April.
